MAIL SERVER SETUP

E-Mail Setup Information A mail server comes with any virtual server that has a domain name assigned to it. There is NO mail server for IP-only virtual servers. The mail server is setup automatically at the time of setting up your virtual server (with domain name), or at the time you add a domain name to your IP-only virtual server.

Postmaster e-mail account (e-mail address) is created for you during the setup process. The postmaster account is required by regulations (RFC) to be present on every mail domain. You can not delete postmaster mailbox.

You can setup other e-mail accounts (mailboxes) as necessary using Mail Server management option in HostPilot Control Panel.

You will need to setup your mail client as follows to be able to send and receive e-mail messages:

Mail server user name: mailbox@Domain.xxx or mailbox%Domain.xxx Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: mail.Domain.xxx Incoming (POP) mail server: mail.Domain.xxx E-mail address: mailbox@Domain.xxx Note: You must set e-mail address to an existing address on your mail server with Intermedia to be able to use SMTP server (to send messages).

To access web interface to your mail server use the following settings: http://mail.Domain.xxx/
Username: mailbox@Domain.xxx
Password: mailbox password
